In the episode where Nabi (S.A.W) said he would not have honey anymore, which two ummahatul mumineen were involved?
During the treaty of Hudaibiyyah which ummahatul mumineen suggested to Nabi (S.A.W) that he should come out of his ihraam and the sahabah would follow?
It was the practice of Rasulullaah (sallallaahu-alayhi-wa-sallam) to visit each of his wives after the Asr salaah and spend a short while with all of them. Once, when Rasulullaah (sallallaahu-alayhi-wa-sallam) had some honey at the home of Hadhrat Zaynab bint Jahash (R.A), Hadhrat Aa'isha (R.A) and Hadhrat Hafsa (R.A) consulted with each other. They decided that when Rasulullaah (sallallaahu-alayhi-wa-sallam) visited the first of the two, she would ask him whether he had eaten Maghaafeer (this was a type of gum that did not have a pleasant smell). When one of them did mention this to Rasulullaah (sallallaahu-alayhi-wa-sallam), he said, “I have not had any Maghaafeer. I only had some honey with Zaynab bint Jahash. I swear by Allaah that I shall never have any more honey again.” It was then that Allaah revealed the verse: “O Nabi (sallallaahu-alayhi-wa-sallam)! Seeking the pleasure of your wives, why do you declare unlawful that which Allaah has made lawful for you? Allaah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.” [Bukhari Vol. 2 Pg. 729]
A long hadith in Sahih Bukhari (2732) which mentions the details of the treaty of Al-Hudaibiyyah describes this incident where, after the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) signed the peace treaty with the disbelievers of Quraish, he then commanded his companions to slaughter their animals and shave their heads thus completing the rituals of Umrah at the valley of Hudaibiyyah. As they would had to return to Madinah without entering Mecca as per the terms of the treaty which was signed with the disbelievers of Quraish. The companions were so saddened that they would not be allowed to enter Mecca and perform the Umrah which they had set out to do, that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered them to slaughter their animals and shave their heads, not a single one of them got up to carry out this order. After repeating this command three times, still no one got up to perform his orders, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went and entered upon his wife, Um Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), and he told her what had happened. Upon hearing his complaint, she told him to go out and not talk to any of them until he slaughtered his animal and shaved his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took her advice and acted upon it promptly, and when the companions saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) slaughter his animal and shave his head, they all followed him in doing so.
