السلام عليكم
Does a girl have a right to demand mehr fatimi? What does shariah say regarding this?

Assalaamu alaykum
At the time of negotiating a Nikah, the bride can stipulate any amount as the proposed Mahr. It is then up to the bridegroom to accept the Nikah with such Mahr, or refuse the Nikah.   However, we are warned against making the Mahr exorbitant, for this will make Nikah difficult and proliferate Zina.   Mahr Fatimi is generally not excessive or exorbitant.
And Allah Ta'ala knows best
